Social media is not social
Well, what a time we live in? Tech billionaires steal all our info for a crumb. While they filter doom and gloom into our feeds.
If it’s not that you’re probably struggling to get any kind of traction with your page. No matter how creative I’ve edited videos, with my own custom music, effects and edits. I still see people with terribly shot selfie point of view videos getting more views.
So what do you do? I’ve decided ultimately not to care anymore. As of this year I’ve barely been in Instagram (not supporting chode tech bros that bend the knee), last year I deleted my Twitter account when the man child bought it and changed it to X.
Then you have the whole issue with TikTok and how we don’t want another country spying on us when our own does it just as much, if not more. Now there is talk of Amazon and Jeff Bozo wanting to buy it.
Look at all the sales they do on TikTok and the info you can get from users through your terms of use. NO THANK YOU!
Cara has been a personal let down.
Bluesky has been the outlier lately. It’s not compulsive or habit forming to me. I’m able to just get on, post and get the hell off!
Ultimately I’ve decided to just write blogs on my site. If no one reads it, ohh well. I’m making my art, getting into shows, and selling work.
Social media is gamified, and a silly flex.
